Custom Tabletop Arcade Cabinet

I designed and built this arcade cabinet in December 2017. It’s made from stained cherry panels with oak framing, and an added white trim around the edges. The cabinet is powered by a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB (upgraded from a B+ in 2021). It has original joystick and tactile button input, which is converted to keyboard input on the Pi.

The cabinet is running Retro Pi which I loaded with around 1000 games from various consoles and arcade systems. The entire project took about 2 months to finish, and has served as a great conversation starter during house parties.

My father helped me with the woodworking on the project, primarily to make sure I didn’t cut off my fingers with the miter-saw.
