AgTag: Next-Gen Precision Livestock Farming
This is my biggest project management role to date. The AgTag was a device I developed for AgriGates, a data science startup looking to revolutionize Precision Livestock Farming (PLF). Together we iterated through six generations of hardware, until we came up with a field-ready device.
The project included custom PCB fabrication, custom enclosure design and testing, certifications, robotic simulations, embedded programming, and full hardware integration.
We successfully took the project from napkin to production within two years, and scored our first clients in academia during that time.
We also performed three on-animal tests with the sensors, and using AI and machine-learning, developed software that could predict the calves behavior with up to 85% accuracy.
As Project Manager, I led a team of 4 in designing, prototyping, and testing this device. I worked as the Lead Electrical, Mechanical and Testing Engineer. I also had to balance this role with PM responsibilities included Agile/Scrum Master, stakeholder communications, and systems integration.
